Neal Rohrs
Neal is a financial advisor and the founder of our firm, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Over the decades, he has witnessed the profession evolve from paper files and face-to-face meetings to DocuSign and virtual appointments (though he admits he still prefers the old-fashioned way). One thing, however, has never changed: Neal’s commitment to treating every family he works with with honesty, care, and respect.
Raised in Hicksville, Ohio (yes, that really is the town’s name), Neal learned early the value of small-town work ethic and genuine connection with others. Those roots show in his everyday interactions. He’s the kind of person who can walk into a local restaurant and have it take 30 minutes to sit down because he knows most of the people there.
He has been married to his wife, Jeana, since 1981. They have two grown sons, A.J. (married to Rebecca) and Luke (married to Marybeth), and five grandchildren. Neal is a 1983 graduate of Ohio Northern University and a former Distinguished President of the Charlotte Kiwanis Club. He is currently a member of Locals in Business and enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Joe Wilson, CFP®
Joe is a registered financial advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional who specializes in comprehensive financial planning, particularly for those nearing or in retirement.
He grew up between Charlotte and Olivet in a middle-class family, not realizing at the time that he lived just a couple of miles from Neal and Jeana. Raised by frugal parents, Joe learned early the importance of avoiding debt and minimizing unnecessary expenses. One of his favorite childhood memories reflects this lesson: rather than simply buying him a bike, his parents made a deal. Each week, Joe contributed part of his allowance at the local bike shop, and his parents matched it. After several months of saving and discipline, he proudly purchased his first new red Schwinn. Experiences like this instilled in him the value of financial responsibility from an early age.
Joe graduated from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and began his career in the corporate world. From his very first paycheck, he started investing and, like many new investors, made nearly every mistake possible. Fortunately, those early missteps became valuable lessons, and with the guidance of a few mentors, Joe quickly found his footing. Through disciplined investing, he was well on track for early retirement when he discovered a new passion: helping others with their own investment plans and teaching them how the process works. The more he guided and educated, the more he realized he had found his true calling.
Today, Joe lives in Olivet with his wife, Cara, their two children, Noah and Lucy, and their dogs, Maybelle and Scout. Beyond his work as a financial advisor, he is active in the community through the Charlotte Evening Rotary Club, Locals In Business, Olivet Congregational Church, and serves as a board member for Olivet Community Schools.

Jeana Rohrs
Jeana has been an integral part of our team since 2013, serving as our Administrative Assistant. Before joining Preferred Wealth Management, she built distinguished careers in both teaching and advertising management. This diverse background provides her with a unique perspective and makes her an invaluable asset to our firm.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University and later completed her Master of Education at Michigan State University. Outside the office, Jeana enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and keeping Neal organized. Around the office, she’s also recognized as the “Fittest Person at Preferred Wealth Management,” a well-earned title thanks to her impressive CrossFit skills.
Guided by decades of experience and a shared commitment to our clients’ financial futures.
Joe and Neal first connected through a mutual friend and quickly discovered how much they had in common. Both valued family, community involvement, and always putting the interests of others first. They were also fortunate to have strong, supportive spouses who encouraged them to be the best versions of themselves. What stood out most, however, was finding another advisor who believed in the independent model of financial planning. As their friendship grew, so did the idea of working together. In Neal’s words, “it just made sense.”
By combining their complementary styles (Joe’s fresh, modern perspective with Neal’s seasoned, time-tested approach), they’ve created a unique partnership that delivers unmatched service. Their shared mission is simple: to bring more people in their communities a client-centered financial planning experience that offers truly comprehensive strategies at fair, accessible prices.
